LAMIERA 2022 to Take Place Seven Days Earlier, on May 18-21

Cinisello Balsamo, Italy – LAMIERA 2022, the international exhibition dedicated to the industry of sheet-metal forming machine tools and innovative technology associated to the sector, will be held one week earlier, from May 18-21, 2022, at fieramilano Rho. The exhibition was pushed early due to a necessary reorganization of the calendar of trade fairs held at fieramilano as a result of public health conditions that forced the delay of all events scheduled for the first quarter of the current year.

Events taking place in May and June that had not previously been scheduled, as well as occupying large exhibition spaces and necessitating extremely long set-up times, have compelled fieramilano to request that all involved organizing bodies arrange new ‘date combinations’ in order to ensure that all exhibitions on the new agenda can be held properly. As a result, LAMIERA will take place seven days earlier than planned in order to ensure adequate organization time for exhibitors participating in the event. LAMIERA will be followed by the Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile) in June, which will similarly feature extremely extended set-up durations.

LAMIERA, organized by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU and promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tool, robot, and automation systems manufacturers' association, is scheduled for the month of May and, with over 200 applications already collected to exhibit, intends to repeat the success of the two previous editions hosted in Rho-Milan.

In agreement with fieramilano and to maintain the trade show in the same period, Alfredo Mariotti, General Manager, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, said, “Considering the rapid return to normal standards that we are experiencing over the last few weeks, the increasingly extensive vaccinations, and the experience we have acquired during two years of pandemic, we know that LAMIERA will be held in a period that can be considered safe with regard to the public health emergency.”

Stating that the decision to move LAMIERA forward by one week entails a significant investment by the organizers in terms of communication and promotion with all parties involved, presenting a trade show rich in content and ideas, and thereby drawing a large number of guests, Mariotti added, “We are very pleased to make this investment, feeling sure that our activity will allow to minimize, or even completely eliminate any possible inconvenience for the operators involved.”

He concluded, “After all, this choice to meet the requirements of the host exhibition centre and of the organizers of other trade shows gives credit to the industry represented at LAMIERA, as one of those which, while understanding the problems caused by the public health crisis for the sector of trade fairs, contribute to its relaunch and development, aware of the crucial and irreplaceable role of exhibitions in supporting the business activity of manufacturing enterprises.”
