India Pavilion at EXPO2020 Dubai to Highlight Potential in India’s Steel Sector

Dubai, UAE – The India Pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai will hold ‘Steel Week’ beginning March 11, 2022. The week-long event, which concludes on March 17, 2022, will highlight the expertise of the Steel sector in India and demonstrate a variety of prospects and business potential in India’s steel sector. Shri Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, Union Minister of Steel, will lead the delegation from the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. The delegation will be accompanied by senior officials from India’s largest steel producers, including SAIL, JSW, JSPL, Tata Steel, and AM/NS India.

The delegation will meet with senior Mubadala Investment Company officials in Abu Dhabi to discuss investment opportunities in the Indian steel sector. Meetings have been scheduled with senior officials from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, UAE-based steel producers & steel user companies to explore prospects for collaboration with Indian steel companies and to promote investment opportunities in India. During the week, a special session on the INR 6,322 crore Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Specialty Steel has been scheduled. The delegation will also pay visits to notable country pavilions.
