Lokesh Machines to Invest INR 100 Cr in Defence Sector with New Manufacturing Facility

Telangana, India – Lokesh Machines Ltd, a manufacturer of CNC machines and auto components, has announced its entry into the defence sector with the creation of a new division dedicated to the production of defence and aerospace components. The company has invested INR 100 crore in a greenfield manufacturing facility in Medchal, which was inaugurated by G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Adviser, Union Defence Minister, and Former Chairman of DRDO. Reddy complimented the company’s achievements and stressed the need to concentrate on exports and developing a global footprint in the development of small guns.

The new division was established in response to the Government of India’s call for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and the company plans to invest more than INR 100 crore in the first phase. The corporation is also constructing a vendor park around the plant, which will develop an ecosystem of suppliers and handhold them in developing precise parts for small guns. Commercial production is planned to commence shortly, and the investment will be increased once exports begin.
