Nibe Ltd Elevates Defence Manufacturing with Cutting-Edge Plant in Pune

Pune, India – Nibe Ltd, a key player in defence system manufacturing, inaugurated its advanced plant in Pune. The facility boasts state-of-the-art technology, including 16m and 12m Vertical Machining Centres (VMC), aimed at producing critical defence sub-systems. It will support various projects like Modular Bridges, Sarvatra bridge system, missile launcher system components fabrication, precision machining, and Electric vehicle manufacturing.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed dignitaries like Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Defence; Admiral Radhakrishnan Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Uday Samant, Minister of Industries of Maharashtra. Established in 2021 under the leadership of Ganesh Ramesh Nibe (Chairman and Managing Director, Nibe Group), the company focuses on technology and sustainability.

The plant, featuring large VMC machines and a welding training center, will produce heavy engineering structures, mobile weapon launcher sub-assemblies, naval components, and more. Nibe aims to drive innovation, quality, and eco-friendly solutions, contributing to India’s Defence Manufacturing sector’s indigenization.
