Musashi India Celebrates 23 Years, Unveils Bengaluru R&D Hub for Energy Storage and E-Mobility

Bawal, India – Musashi Auto Parts (India) Pvt Ltd, a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co Ltd, Japan, and a global leader in precision automotive systems in India, commemorates 23 years of operations in the country by announcing the launch of the Musashi Technology Excellence Centre (MTEC) at the Atria University Campus in Bengaluru. The new R&D and prototyping facility for new energy storage systems and E-mobility marks a significant milestone in Musashi’s India journey, aligning with its long-term commitment to innovation and sustainability. 

The center is dedicated to the testing and validation of new technologies developed by Musashi Global, in collaboration with its international partners and vendors. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to indigenous product development and aligns with India’s Net Zero 2030 goals. With an investment of approximately INR 100 million earmarked for the first year, the facility is set to expand in phases, with infrastructure and team growth progressing in tandem.

The Musashi Technology Excellence Centre will focus on developing advanced energy storage solutions tailored for the Indian market. It will serve as a hub for rapid prototyping and localization of technologies, accelerating time to market and fostering innovation.

With plans for rapid prototyping and local manufacturing integration, the facility aims to strengthen India’s capabilities in new energy technologies. MTEC will also function as a magnet for engineering talent, including electrochemists and data scientists, as Musashi deepens its R&D footprint in the country. The center is designed to catalyze product development customized for Indian requirements and reduce time to market, while leveraging India’s robust supply chain and manufacturing capabilities to develop sustainable battery energy storage systems for the growing Indian market.”

The phased development of the center will leverage Musashi’s longstanding automotive manufacturing experience in India, Musashi Energy Solutions’ hybrid supercapacitor production capabilities, and strategic guidance from Musashi Seimitsu Industries in Japan. With the establishment of MTEC, Musashi India reiterates its commitment to innovation, localization, and sustainable growth in one of the world’s fastest-growing mobility markets.
