Isgec Boosts African Operations with Turnkey Solutions

Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd, a multi-product, multi-location public company offering engineering solutions, expanded globally with the turnkey installation of 6 units of presses in South Africa. This project helps strengthen Isgec’s global footprint, particularly in the Southern African market, and highlights its ability to deliver large, complex engineering solutions internationally.

The presses include

  • Gap Frame Tandem Press Line: It is engineered for small to medium sheet metal components. Its tandem configuration enables multiple sequential stamping operations in a single line, minimizing material handling and maximizing throughput. Ideal for automotive sheet metal components and home appliance parts, it ensures consistent high-quality output and reliable performance.
  • Progressive Die Mechanical Press: Combining speed, precision, and versatility in a single automated solution, this press is designed for multi-stage stamping operations. It allows complex parts to be formed efficiently with excellent dimensional accuracy and repeatability. Suitable for both small and large batch production, it guarantees superior quality components across automotive, appliance, and industrial stamping applications.

  • Die Spotting Hydraulic Press: Used to accurately check and align dies before production, this model ensures perfect fitting and correct operation. With precise hydraulic control and adjustable force, it reduces setup time, prevents die damage, and ensures smooth, reliable production once the dies are installed in the press. It is an essential tool for workshops and production facilities aiming for consistent quality and operational efficiency.

Catering to customers across 92 countries in multiple sectors, the company has a history of executing projects for major clients in the region. It has also executed other projects in Africa, such as a 30.4 MW Complete Cogeneration Plant supplied on a turnkey basis to Zambia Sugar Plc (a subsidiary of Illovo Group of South Africa) in Nakambala, Zambia.
