Kennametal India Sanctions INR 680 Mn in MSG Project

Bengaluru, India - Kennametal India Ltd has announced a strategic capital investment of INR 680 million for a greenfield project aimed at expanding the capacity of its Machining Solutions Group (MSG) business in India. This expansion is designed to capitalize on India’s robust growth across key sectors such as transportation, energy, aerospace & defence, and earthworks. The investment will strengthen MSG’s ability to deliver advanced CNC machining solutions that address complex manufacturing challenges.

A core division of Kennametal India, MSG operates under the brand name WIDMA®, established in 1984. Today, WIDMA® offers a comprehensive range of manufacturing technologies—from deep-hole drilling machines to special-purpose machines, flexible and horizontal machining centers, vertical turning lathes, and tool & cutter grinding solutions. The 75,000 sqft Bengaluru facility is equipped with end-to-end manufacturing capabilities and supports over 4,000 installations worldwide.
