Lokesh Machines Secures INR 22Cr Defence Order

Hyderabad & Kanpur, India – Lokesh Machines Ltd, a Hyderabad-based machine industry company, has secured a defence supply order worth INR 22 crore, which is a significant milestone towards its growing engagement with the Indian defence manufacturing ecosystem. The order has been awarded by Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd (AWEIL), a government-owned defence public sector undertaking headquartered in Kanpur, India.

Under the contract, Lokesh Machines will produce and deliver sub-assemblies and components used in 9x19 mm machine pistols. The overall contract is INR 22,00,46,400, and all the supplies are scheduled to be completed by March 19, 2026, or before. Although the company did not publicize volumes, price, delivery timelines, and margin structure, the order confirms the capacity of the company to concentrate on precision engineering of critical defence components.

There was a positive reaction in the market to the announcement. On January 5, 2026, the shares of Lokesh Machines went up by more than 10 percent, indicating investor confidence in its growing defence order book and the long-term growth potential.
