GOLDEN JUBILEE GLORY: WINNING THE IMTMA–COOPER AWARD

During IMTEX FORMING 2026, Rajamane Industries Pvt Ltd, a 50-year-old manufacturer, was bestowed the prestigious IMTMA–Cooper Award for Outstanding Supply Chain Unit, instituted in memory of Sir DB Cooper, on January 21, 2026, at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. The award recognizes the vital contribution of supply chain units to India’s machine tool industry.

Established in 1975 at Bengaluru, Rajamane Industries is one of India’s leading manufacturers of coolant pumps and has made significant strides in electric motors, auto components, castings, and other products for the machine tool and allied industries. Rooted in a strong focus on research and development, continuous innovation, and a customer-centric approach, Rajamane Industries has earned the trust of leading machine tool manufacturers and global OEMs.

“Winning the IMTMA–Cooper Award means a lot, not just personally but also for the entire team. It feels like all the hard work, late nights, and relentless focus on excellence have paid off,” Rajendra Rajamane, Managing Director, Rajamane Industries Pvt Ltd, expressed.

“This award represents recognition of our efforts in building a robust and efficient supply chain that drives innovation and growth in the machine tool industry,” Rajamane said. “It validates our behind-the-scenes work, showing that our focus on streamlining processes, building strong partnerships, and driving continuous improvement is making a real impact.”

A Golden Jubilee Milestone

As it marks 50 years of excellence, the company continues to strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem as a dependable supply chain partner.

The award, according to Rajamane, validates the company’s efforts in building a robust supply chain, driving technological advancements, and delivering exceptional value to customers. “We are proud to have this recognition as part of our milestone celebrations,” he added.

Ensuring Zero Disruption in a Volatile Market

In today’s uncertain market conditions, reliability is critical for supply chain partners. He vividly recalled a recent challenge when a key supplier faced a sudden production halt due to raw material shortages.

“Our team quickly assessed the impact and collaborated with the supplier to expedite alternative sourcing. We also leveraged our network to identify backup suppliers and adjusted production schedules to minimize delays,” he said.

To prevent any disruption to OEM customers, the company maintained transparent communication and strategic planning. “We kept our OEMs informed about the situation and our mitigation plans. We managed inventory buffers strategically and expedited logistics to meet urgent demands,” he explained.

He noted that this proactive approach helped the company maintain supply continuity and build stronger partnerships with its OEMs. With regards to on-time delivery, the company has so far achieved 100 percent, never missing a delivery deadline. Its fully integrated manufacturing setup, including the in-house foundry, winding unit, and machine shop, has supported this performance.

Digitizing the Supply Chain

Rajamane Industries has been leveraging technology to modernize its traditional supply chain by integrating Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing solutions. One such implementation is its ERP system that streamlines operations and enhances supply chain efficiency. “This system enables real-time tracking and management of production, inventory, and logistics, allowing for faster response times and better decision-making,” he said.

He added, “Industry 4.0 is being implemented across stages starting from our foundry to assembly.” Adopting these smart manufacturing solutions has resulted in stark improvements in terms of operational efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Innovation Begins with Listening

A customer-centric approach has directly influenced product improvements. The company actively engages with OEMs to understand their pain points and gather structured feedback.

One major improvement came from switching to electrophoretic deposition (ED) coating for pumps. “Switching to ED coating was a game changer. ED coating offers superior precision, uniformity, and corrosion resistance compared to conventional painting. It also improves precision and enables faster turnaround times,” he explained.

Addressing this issue helped the company reduce delivery times and supported customers in improving their own production schedules. The move was implemented based on direct OEM feedback.

Evolution with Core Values Intact

Looking back on the company’s journey from 1975 to 2026, Rajamane described a major transformation. In its early years, the focus was on establishing a strong manufacturing foundation. Today, the company has evolved into a technology-driven organization with a growing global footprint.

“We have embraced Industry 4.0, automation, and digitalization. We have expanded from local to global markets and diversified our product portfolio with customer-centric solutions,” he said.

Celebrating its Golden Jubilee, Rajamane Industries maintains 100 percent on-time delivery, advances Industry 4.0 integration, and continues expanding into global markets and emerging sectors.

Despite these changes, he stressed, the company has a set of non-negotiable values. “Quality is non-negotiable. We have an uncompromising commitment to delivering high-quality products. Customer focus and innovation have been our guiding forces for 50 years,” he said.

Scaling New Heights

The company already exports to markets including the United States, the Middle East, Germany, Japan, and China. The plans now are to expand its presence in global markets, particularly within the machine tool industry and emerging sectors such as electric vehicles. “We are looking at global market expansion, especially in regions like Europe, the US, and Southeast Asia,” he shared.
