Ennsdorf, Austria - From May 4–8, 2026, Salvagnini Maschinenbau hosted Xperience at its facility in Ennsdorf (Linz), Austria — Europe’s largest manufacturing site dedicated exclusively to panel benders. The event brought together over 500 executives, managers, and professionals from the sheet metal sector representing more than 30 countries. Xperience showed how sheet metal manufacturers can respond to a more demanding industrial environment with technologies designed to combine flexibility, control, and continuity.
Manufacturing is becoming harder to manage. Demand is less predictable, supply chains remain exposed to external pressures, and regulation continues to add complexity. At the same time, sheet metal manufacturers are being asked to deliver lighter, more precise, and better-finished parts, often in smaller batches and with shorter lead times. Customization, high production, and labor scarcity are pushing companies to adopt production models that are easier to manage, less dependent on operator skill, and more stable over time. In this context, panel benders are an increasingly effective answer: they combine flexibility, repeatability, and automation to help manufacturers handle variability, protect quality, and simplify the sheet metal process.
Participants discovered the potential of the full Salvagnini panel bender range, whether used as stand-alone solutions or integrated with complementary technologies to support different production strategies. The range includes two bending platforms and a variety of configurations designed to meet different production requirements.
The event reaffirmed Salvagnini’s approach: applying technology where it creates real value in the production process, to turn the management of manufacturing complexity into a competitive advantage.

Salvagnini Maschinenbau
Salvagnini Maschinenbau, located in Ennsdorf (Linz, Austria), is the largest manufacturing facility entirely dedicated to panel benders in Europe and the Group’s key plant for high-end panel bending technology. The plant brings together approximately 500 dedicated technicians with decades of specialist expertise in panel bending.
Technologies on display
PX + B3: It is a bending cell designed to increase flexibility in the production of mixed-complexity parts. The panel bender performs the main operations, while the press brake completes bends not feasible on the panel bender. The P-PB-CXN software automatically loads the B3 program at the end of the panel bending cycle, ensuring a seamless transition and application continuity.
P4-2120: The P4-2120, combining high-end automation with strong application versatility, is a flagship model in the Salvagnini panel benders range. Equipped with CLA and CLA/SIM, it automatically sets up the auxiliary tools for partial bends, enabling complex geometries without manual intervention. In this configuration, the panel bender is equipped with the ABA55 blankholder, which further extends its application range and makes it a strategic solution for companies that need longer return bends.
L3.G4 + P2-1620: It is a work cell that shows how cutting and bending can be connected simply and effectively, even without physical automation. Data Matrix marking, DPR scanning, and PDD with OPS-SFC visual support provide automatic program recall and traceability between and downstream stand-alone work centers, streamlining the flow and reducing manual intervention.
FSL S4+P4-2520: It is a Flexible Smart Line designed for lean production in one continuous flow. Punching and panel bending are fully integrated, with no manual handling, no intermediate storage, and no setup interruptions. With no logistics between the machines and automatic tool changes in cycle, the line supports batch-one, kit, and high-mix production, while FLOW software manages the entire process, controlling sequencing and production logic.
P2-1620 + P2-2120: These two panel bender models highlight the scalability of the P2 platform across different applications and production environments. A single platform, one bending logic, and multiple configurations allow manufacturers to expand flexibility without adding complexity.
P2-2520HG: This panel bender features extended thickness capability for heavy, structural applications. The P2-2520HG can bend up to 3.2 mm (12 ga) stainless steel, with higher limits on mild steel (3.6 mm – 10 ga), and aluminum (4.8 mm – 5 ga), while machine-controlled handling reduces operator effort on heavy parts.
P2-3020: This panel bender features extended bending length and improved ergonomics for large-size applications. Designed to process parts up to 3 m long (118.11 in.), the P2-3020 lets the machine manage the panel through the cycle, making the handling of large parts easier, safer, and less physically demanding.
P4-4020: As the largest high-end panel bender in the Salvagnini range, the P4-4020 is designed for large-size applications. The machine processes the part automatically, simplifying handling and improving process control. With options such as CLA, P tools, and CUT, it extends its application range to more complex geometries and profile production in the same cycle, turning the panel bender into a more complete work center.
