Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) and Tokyo Big Sight Inc. have announced the exhibition scale and exhibitor lineup for JIMTOF 2026, the 33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair, which will take place from October 26–31, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight.

One of the world’s largest international technology exhibitions for machine tools and manufacturing technologies, JIMTOF 2026 will bring together 944 exhibitors occupying 4,423 booths, underscoring the event’s significance as a global platform for technological innovation, business networking, and industry collaboration.

According to the organizers, the exhibitor breakdown (as of June 16, 2026) comprises 725 domestic exhibitors with 3,998 booths and 219 overseas exhibitors with 425 booths, excluding co-exhibitors and represented companies.

Held under the theme “When technology takes off, the possibilities are limitless,” JIMTOF 2026 aims to contribute to industrial development and the promotion of international trade through technical exchange and business opportunities in the machine tool sector.

The exhibition will cover a broad spectrum of manufacturing technologies, including metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, machine tool accessories, cutting and wear-resistant tools, diamond and CBN tools, grinding wheels and abrasives, gears and gear devices, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, precision and optical measuring instruments, testing equipment, CAD/CAM software, and related technologies and materials.

Occupying an indoor exhibition area of 92,850 sq mt, JIMTOF 2026 is expected to showcase the latest developments and cutting-edge innovations across the manufacturing ecosystem.

Established in 1962 and held biennially for more than five decades, JIMTOF has built a reputation as a premier venue for discovering the latest machine tool technologies and manufacturing solutions. The 2026 edition marks the 33rd staging of the event.
