EVRE and Mad About Wheels Aim to Build EV Ecosystem Across India with 500 EV Charging Stations

New Delhi, India – EVRE, India’s leading EV charging infrastructure player, has announced a partnership with Mad About Wheels (MAW), India’s first brand-agnostic electric mobility & automotive solutions and retail services provider, via its phygital platform, to enable EV dealerships across 100+ cities to begin operations with over 500 EV Chargers. EVRE, in collaboration with MAW, will set up public EV charging infrastructure at these 100+ locations, benefiting respective dealer network operators and EV owners by providing easy access to quality EV chargers, primarily in tier-II and III cities.

MAW will enable all deployments at its e-retail partners in association with EVRE, offering them value-added services at no cost to them in terms of asset ownership. EVRE will manufacture, establish, own, and operate this EV charging infrastructure. The tariffs for charging EVs will be in accordance with the electricity tariff in each location and will be enabled via the EVRE App, which is available in all app stores. This addition to their existing infrastructure will provide the dealers with incremental revenue from using the chargers as public infrastructure for walk-ins by EV customers and EV fleet owners.

2W and 3W EVs are a rural phenomenon, and public charging infrastructure will be critical in ensuring the country’s EV revolution gets off to a good start. MAW and EVRE hope to start building the nation’s EV ecosystem with the first EV-ready 100+ dealer network. Implementation will begin with the installation of 100 charging stations in the first 30 cities by March 2022. EVRE and MAW work together to improve charging infrastructure throughout the remaining cities in order to support the rapid growth of EV adoption in these suburban communities.

Amresh Khar, Co-Founder, Mad About Wheels, said, “At Mad About Wheels, our focus is to provide consumer-centric infrastructure to enable our dealer-partners by providing enhanced experience for our existing and potential EV-customers, brands in association, new partnership in discussion. Dealers get the Charging point exclusive and free of investment in these assets. Partnership with EVRE helps us in completing the loop of providing 360o services, and to our customers by providing charging touch-points at convenient last-mile locations as well as drive profitability for our dealer-partners at the same time. All these quality chargers are 2W & 3W smart-enabled.”

Intending to expand the company’s footprint across the country and on the partnership, Krishna K Jasti, CEO & Co-Founder, EVRE, commented, “MAW provides us one such platform that enables us to reach out to the length of breadth of the country, touching a majority of the districts in our country within a year.  This added infrastructure to their existing set-up will help the dealers with incremental revenue for utilizing the chargers as public infrastructure as well as utilizing the parking spaces for charging hubs. We are a firm believer that tier-II & III cities in India will play an important role in pushing the clean mobility drive and we are fully geared-up to satiate that demand across the country with our hub model.”
