Indospace Leases Warehouse Space to Denmark-based Lind Jensen Machinery in Chennai to Set Up its First Factory in India

Mumbai, India – IndoSpace, India’s largest developer and owner of Grade A industrial real estate and logistics parks, has added Lind Jensen Machinery (LJM) to its tenant roster. The high-quality hydraulic cylinder manufacturer will open its first Indian factory in Chennai at Oragadam II, where it will produce hydraulic pitch, lock cylinders, and accumulators for the wind turbine industry. So far, €2 million has been invested in the project.

The 50,000 sq ft facility is expected to begin trial production by the end of July 2022. This is LJM’s second facility in Asia, with the first located in China. LJM will initially employ 40-50 people at its Oragadam facility and intends to develop high-quality goods with long operational lives for both domestic and international markets through this endeavor.

With a significant presence in Tamil Nadu, IndoSpace has 15 Grade A industrial and logistics parks strategically located throughout the main industrial area.

Rajesh Jaggi, Vice Chairman-Real Estate, Everstone Group, said, “We are delighted to be able to provide a great industrial ecosystem facility in Oragadam II for LJM to manufacture top-of-the-line parts for the wind energy sector. This will surely go a long way in meeting India’s growing need for sustainable energy, and we look forward to a lasting relationship with them.”

Martin Anderson, CEO, Lind Jensen Machinery, commented, “We want to thank IndoSpace for providing us with world-class facilities to establish our production unit. We see a great opportunity to set up the unit here given the long-term potential, not just in the wind turbine segment, but also in other sectors. For us, it is the perfect time to be here, and we are sure that India will become an export hub for regions such as North America, South America, and Europe in the future.”
