WIKA India Expands its Measurement Product Quality Control Services

Delhi/Ghaziabad, India – WIKA India recently launched its NABL-accredited lab in Ghaziabad, bolstering its presence in the field of level, force, and flow measurement, as well as calibration technology in India. The company, with its emphasis on efficient instrumentation and measurement technology, aims to provide a platform for checking the accuracy of products to any factories or organizations that may want to utilize it. Gaurav Bawa, Managing Director and Senior Vice President, WIKA India, was joined in launching the lab by Jason Deane, Vice President, CoE Service, WIKA Group, and Denny Alting - Global Sales Key Account Management, WIKA Group.

The company’s Ghaziabad Calibration facility meets the stringent requirements of International Standard ISO/IEC 17025. To estimate the low uncertainty of measurement, high accuracy equipment’s of mechanical, electro-technical, and thermal strict environmental conditions are maintained. In order to achieve accurate and reliable results, the Centre has made significant investments in high-tech and modern equipment that meets international standards and employs high-accuracy reference standards (pressure balances) and working standards (precise electronic pressure measuring instruments).

Regular machine calibration improves manufacturer quality, process safety, measuring device confidence, reject and rework prevention, compliance with standards, guidelines, and certifications, protection from possible replacement claims, and audit safety as points of insurance to the production process, and WIKA with its expertise aims to help all manufacturing sectors achieve the same.

Separately, in order to provide full-service maintenance, WIKA not only has a trained workforce but also provides consulting and technical support over the phone. Comprehensive function inspection of measuring instruments, complete cleaning of instruments, upgrade advice of measuring instruments and retrofitting of options, customized modifications and conversions, software update, replacement of wear and tear parts, and calibration service at customers' doorsteps via mobile van.

Bawa, who launched the facilities and stated that regular quality control for measuring instruments is required not only for accuracy of measurements but also for best machine performance, added, “At a time when sustainable production is the most important goal, requirement of predictive maintenance is an important factor for all enterprises to adhere to. The WIKA accredited lab will help in the process of efficient measurements leading to good health of machines. Additionally, right balance and measurements add to the safety of the instruments.”
