Inter Foundry 2026 Brings the World to Coimbatore

Powered by ‘The Bright World of Metals’, Inter Foundry 2026 further expands the international presence of Messe Düsseldorf’s metallurgy and foundry network, welcoming the global foundry industry to Coimbatore from September 10–12, 2026.

The trade fair brings together leading technology providers, machinery manufacturers and users from across the industry. Highlights include the inaugural VDMA German Pavilion, expert-led conference sessions, the new Castings Zone, and GIFA Night, as well as a first preview of GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST 2027 in Düsseldorf. The combination of exhibition, conference program, and networking events makes Inter Foundry a key meeting place for knowledge transfer and international industry dialogue in one of the world's most dynamic foundry markets.

“Partnering with ‘The Bright World of Metals’ has elevated Inter Foundry and Inter DieCast onto the global stage. This mega-event highlights India’s position as a rapidly expanding powerhouse on the international foundry map. By gathering the entire ecosystem together, it creates high-value business opportunities and supercharges the Indian foundry sector. Along with the materials and machinery suppliers, the presence of foundries as exhibitors in the Castings Zone and potential castings buyers from across the globe at the exhibition will add a new dimension to Inter Foundry & Inter DieCast,” explains Ashwani Pande, Chief Executive Officer, VA Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.

Organized by the Foundries Development Foundation (FDF) and VA Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, Inter Foundry, together with Inter DieCast, covers the entire metallurgical value chain, from melting and foundry technology to die casting, materials, automation, digitalization, quality management, and recycling. Companies from more than 20 countries will showcase their latest solutions, while more than 500 live demonstrations and prototypes will demonstrate cutting-edge technologies under real production conditions.

Trade visitors will have the opportunity to compare innovations first-hand, engage directly with international experts and gain valuable insights for future investment and production decisions. Supported by the global network of Messe Düsseldorf and VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing, ‘The Bright World of Metals’ is strengthening its role as an international platform for the metals industry.

India is one of the fastest-growing markets in the global metals industry and today ranks as the world’s second-largest casting producer. With more than 600 foundries, Coimbatore has established itself as one of India's leading manufacturing hubs and provides ideal conditions for exchange between international technology suppliers and the country’s rapidly expanding industrial sector. More than 300 exhibitors are expected to participate in the 2026 edition across approximately 18,000 sq mt of exhibition space. Market-oriented seminars, panel discussions, and the Castings Zone will complement the exhibition, providing valuable insights into current industry trends and technological developments.

Premiere for the VDMA German Pavilion

For the first time, Inter Foundry 2026 will feature a German Pavilion, organized by VDMA India and VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing. The joint pavilion gives companies from the foundry, metallurgy, and metalworking sectors the opportunity to offer international trade visitors a compact overview of their technologies and solutions.

“India is one of the most important growth markets, particularly for the metals and foundry industries. We are grateful to work with our partners at Messe Düsseldorf to create platforms where German companies can showcase their technologies,” says Dr.-Ing. Timo Würz, Managing Director of VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing.

Exhibitors at the German Pavilion include BMD Foundry Technology, FEIN, Metalltechnik Schmidt, ROOTS CAST, Rudolf Uhlen and VULKAN. Together with other renowned German companies, they will present innovative solutions for melting and foundry technology as well as advanced process technologies at the trade fair.

GIFA Night: International Networking at the Start of the Exhibition

The first exhibition day concludes with GIFA Night on September 10, 2026. The networking event brings together exhibitors, trade visitors, international industry representatives, and media, underlining the commitment of Inter Foundry and ‘The Bright World of Metals’ to connect people and markets worldwide. Participants will also receive a first preview of the world-leading trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, and NEWCAST 2027 in Düsseldorf.

Three Days of Technology, Knowledge and Business

Whether working in foundries, die casting, mechanical and plant engineering, automotive manufacturing, the supplier industry or research, Inter Foundry 2026 offers trade visitors the opportunity to discover new technologies, meet international suppliers, and exchange ideas with experts from around the world. The conference program also provides targeted impetus for international industry dialogue.

The VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing session ‘Strengthening the Indian Foundry Sector as a Global Supply Base for Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Castings’ will focus on strengthening the Indian foundry industry as a global supply base for ferrous and non-ferrous castings.

A further session, ‘Transition in Foundry Businesses: Succession, Scaling Up & Compliance’, will address the challenges of business succession, growth, and compliance. The conference provides industry representatives with a platform to discuss new global business opportunities and exchange views on changes in a dynamic production environment.
