Bern, Switzerland – UNITED GRINDING Group, a manufacturer of precision machines for grinding, eroding, laser, measuring, and combination machining, will debut a game-changing innovation at EMO 2021 in Milan: ‘UNITED GRINDING C.O.R.E.’ On the first day of the trade fair (October 4, 2021, at noon local time), each of the Group’s brands – MÄGERLE, BLOHM, JUNG, STUDER, SCHAUDT, MIKROSA, WALTER, EWAG, and IRPD – will be showcased.
A Milestone in Development
Stephan Nell, CEO, UNITED GRINDING Group, said, “We have made unwavering investments in research and development both before and during the coronavirus pandemic in order to secure the future - not just for ourselves, but most importantly for our customers. And when we talk about the future, it is inextricably linked to today’s digitalization and the increasing simplification of production work.” In this regard, ‘C.O.R.E.’ aims to refocus attention on people in a truly revolutionary way. The brand name is self-explanatory: ‘C.O.R.E.’ – Customer Oriented Revolution.
On this ground-breaking development, experts from the Group’s three technology areas – surface and profile grinding, cylindrical grinding, and tool machining – collaborated in a joint team. Christoph Plüss, CTO, UNITED GRINDING Group, explained, “This project reflects our bundled development expertise. Through C.O.R.E., we are laying the foundations for a new generation of machine tools to pave the way into the digital age.” The result is a world-first that incorporates all the Group’s brands and machine types.

Concerning the presentation of ‘C.O.R.E.’ at EMO 2021, Nell confirmed, “There will be an unveiling show on the first day of the trade fair at EMO.” A live stream will also be available for those who are unable to attend the event in person at the trade fair.
