Bengaluru, India – JJG Aero, the Bengaluru-based precision aerospace components manufacturer that has grown at a 50 percent CAGR over the last three years, broke ground on its third manufacturing facility on October 19, 2026. The INR 200 crore plant will come up on a 12-acre campus at Adinarayanahosahalli, off the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR). Its first phase alone will span 325,000 sqft, more than three times the roughly 100,000 sqft across the company’s two existing plants. The phase is expected to add INR 600 crore in revenue by FY31 and create 1,500 direct jobs. The company also recently emerged as one of only two suppliers to win new Safran Landing Systems contracts at the 2nd Safran Suppliers Conference India, which brought together more than 100 Indian suppliers and partners, and has expanded its work with Safran from one division to three, adding Aerosystems and Actuators.
The groundbreaking marks the start of the biggest expansion in JJG Aero’s history. The new campus is six times the size of the company’s first two plants combined. A further 175,000 sqft planned in Phase 2 will take the total built-up area to 500,000 sqft Phase 1 will house more than 325 machines along with the related special processes. Added to the 125 machines at the second plant in South Bangalore, the expansion will take JJG Aero to about 450 machines, with full capacity installed by 2030. By FY31, the company aims to reach roughly INR 1,000 crore in turnover and about 2,000 employees across its old and new sites.
Scale is only one part of the story. The new plant will move JJG Aero up the aerospace value chain. It will add sub-assembly capability for strategic customers, in-house heat treatment, and a range of new, qualified surface treatment lines, all building on the more than 30 Nadcap-approved special processes the company already offers. To serve customers at this scale, a Factory-within-Factory (FWF) model is also being considered, giving each customer a dedicated production area under one roof.
“This facility is a statement of intent,” said Anuj Jhunjhunwala, Founder, JJG Aero. “We are building a factory that will be digital from the first day, with the scale and capabilities to take on higher-value work for global aerospace customers. It is aligned with the AIA's goal of raising India’s share of the global aircraft supply chain from about 1.5 percent to 10 percent, and we are proud to play our part.”
Every machine will be Industry 4.0 connected and linked to planning software, with digital workstations and inspection stations. An AI layer will augment the abilities of operators and planners, and the plant will be paperless from its first day of operation.
JJG Aero chose the site for its proximity to Kempegowda International Airport and the Aerospace SEZ. Construction is expected to take 12 months, and statutory, system, and customer approvals will follow. Beyond the 1,500 direct jobs in Phase 1, the facility is expected to support about twice as many indirect jobs across vendors, sub-contractors, and service providers.
