Anisoprint Presents Clear PETG and CFC PETG for Continuous Fiber 3D Printing

Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg – Anisoprint, a continuous fiber 3D printing systems and software OEM, has released Clear PETG and CFC PETG, a second pair of filaments for desktop Anisoprinting. PETG, which was designed for use with Composer A4 and A3, is one of the most universal and effective materials for composite fiber co-extrusion (CFC). The material is combined with a proprietary profile in the Aura slicer library, which ensures high standard quality and perfect predictability.

As a part of the strategy to continuously update Aura’s library with new materials and profiles, starting from March 15, Anisoprint provides its clients additional plastics and a specially developed profile to ensure the greatest quality.

Plastic 3D printing, like any other innovative manufacturing technology, prioritizes material diversity above standardization: without set boundaries, the final products are frequently unpredictable and unstable in quality. The combination of the new formulation material and fine-tuned parameters was specifically intended to accomplish Anisoprint’s goal of providing users with solutions that offer stable and reliable quality results.

New material’s benefits and advantages:

  • Good flowing properties make printing easier, and it’s ideal for co-extrusion.
  • Great allrounder for starters, easy to handle.
  • Allows printing in very thin layers with good surface quality and geometric accuracy.
  • Has a naturally good adhesion to reinforcing fibers.
  • Features high mechanical properties (Clear PETG & CFC PETG): wide working temperature range (-40 °C to +70 °C), good durability, and resistance to fats and mineral acids, among other things.
  • Low absorption rate, no need to utilize the drybox if the humidity of the storage facility is low enough.
  • Fully odorless during printing
  • Transparent with clearly visible internal structure.

The new material is currently available to all Composer 3D printer users, and it is the default basic printing choice for beginners.

Artem Naumov, Head of Materials, Anisoprint, said, “A lot of our customers use different PETG variations with our dedicated profiles, with sometimes unpredictable results in terms of mechanical characteristics and quality. We decided to launch our own plastic with characteristics perfectly suitable for the profiles. The new material has been intensively tested and will ensure that our customers get the desired result and quality.”
