The TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer (TE5910) streamlines the selection and dimensioning of drives and motors to optimize machine design. It integrates seamlessly with the TwinCAT automation platform or can be used as a standalone tool for precise drive and motor selection.

Supporting a variety of mechanics such as rack and pinion, ball nut, winder, and crank drives, the tool enables quick rough calculations of load cases using simple motion profiles.

An intelligent optimization algorithm suggests the best motor and gear unit combinations based on mechanical requirements and cost, using an extensive database of Beckhoff’s gear units, motors, and servo drives.

The software generates detailed or summary axis dimensioning reports, with easy access to technical data sheets and 3D models for design integration.
