WFL Showcased the Future of Machining at the Technology Meeting 2026

When technology, people, and ideas come together at the highest level, the result is more than just an event—it creates a dynamic energy. That was exactly what was palpable at the WFL Technology Meeting 2026 in Linz. Over the three days of the event, numerous trade visitors from the international machining industry took the opportunity to learn firsthand about the latest technologies, innovative solutions, and current trends in complete machining.

Around 1,000 guests from both Austria and abroad underscored the importance of the WFL Technology Meeting as a central platform for professional exchange within the industry. 12 MILLTURN machines in live operation formed the centerpiece of the event.

From compact solutions to large-scale systems, visitors were able to experience the full range of complete machining up close. A wide variety of machining processes were demonstrated, with machines and manufacturing processes operating in practical applications—accompanied by intensive technical exchanges between users, decision-makers, and WFL experts.

The M80CSX MILLTURN with a disc milling unit stole the show. The combination of complex machining, high process reliability, and impressive chip removal capacity made the machine one of the technological highlights of the event.

Another flagship technological solution was the world’s first angle head of its kind with automatic tool change. This innovative solution opens up entirely new possibilities in internal machining and combines high-speed capability, integrated media supply, and maximum process reliability in a fully automated system. This allows even complex internal geometries to be machined efficiently, precisely, and economically in a single setup.

The topic of automation was a particular highlight. In particular, the interlinking of multiple machines in combination with automated loading via a gantry loader attracted great interest. An impressive demonstration on-site showed how end-to-end processes, intelligent control, and networked systems elevate production to a new level.
