SIAM Elects Kenichi Ayukawa as President

 

New Delhi, India – Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the apex body representing the Indian automobile industry has elected Kenichi Ayukawa, MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, as its new President. Ayukawa, who was the Vice President of SIAM, succeeds Rajan Wadhera, Senior Advisor, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The members of the national apex body also elected Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland Ltd, as the Vice President of SIAM. Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) to continue functioning as the Treasurer, SIAM.

SIAM represents India's major vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers. It works towards supporting the sustainable development of the Indian Automobile Industry with the vision to make India as the destination of choice in the world for design and automobile production. The Association helps improve the competitiveness of the Indian Automobile sector, minimize vehicle costs, increase productivity, and achieve worldwide quality standards.
