VDW's METAV Web Sessions Focus on Automation and Handling

Frankfurt am Main, Germany – The third edition of METAV (International Trade Fair for Metalworking Technologies) Web Sessions will be held from November 3-4, 2020 with a focus on ‘The Automation and Handling Theme Days’.

Organized by VDW (German Machine Tool Builders ‘Association), it is meant for end-users for the manufacturing sector. Ten companies specializing in their respective fields will present their solutions and offers. Each presentation will last for 30 minutes and will be accompanied by a 15-minute chat session wherein the participants can ask questions and address issues. A video chat with the speaker can also be arranged to discuss specific questions in a one-on-one discussion.

The participating companies include Allmatic-Jakob clamping systems, Erowa System Technologien / Certa Systems, Gressel, HandlingTech Automations-Systeme, Isra Vision, Müller Maschinentechnik and Zeltwanger Automation.

“We know from a recent VDMA survey that almost one in four machine manufacturers (23 percent) will have to adjust capacity levels,” explained Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director - VDW, realizing that when business picks up again, many companies will find it difficult to process orders quickly at the required quality level, in such times, having a consistent automation strategy can be essential for survival.
