The DM2® Series D double valve is a patented 3/2 normally closed valve with an intermediate lockout position, engineered specifically for safe and reliable clutch and brake control. It features SERPAR® Crossflow passages combined with poppet and spool valving on the main valve stems—an architecture that delivers exceptional flow performance along with integrated monitoring and memory functions.
A key strength of the DM2® Series D is its dynamic monitoring, where all monitoring components change state during every valve cycle. If the valve elements operate asynchronously, the valve immediately exhausts downstream air and enters a lockout state, preventing further machine operation.
Dynamic Memory within a monitoring system indicates that once a valve lock-out occurs, the valve retains the fault information regardless of air or electrical changes. The DM2® system can only be reset through a defined manual procedure and will not self-reset (turning the valve off and on) or resent when inlet air supply is removed and re-applied. This design prevents concealed hazards and ensures operators are fully aware of fault conditions before restarting the system.
Key Features
The DM2® Series D features a contaminant-tolerant poppet construction that ensures reliable operation even in harsh industrial environments. High-flow, clog-resistant silencers help maintain consistent performance while minimizing downtime. It ensures safe and reliable control of pneumatically operated clutch and brake systems, while its base-mounted design allows for secure installation and straightforward integration into existing systems.
